Zain Saudi Arabia signs a memorandum of understanding with Tadweeer to recycle electronic waste

“Zain Saudi Arabia” signed a memorandum of understanding with “Recycling Civil Environment” (Tadweeer), with the aim of recycling electronic waste, as part of Zain Saudi Arabia’s commitment to its approach to implementing institutional and societal sustainability, and in line with the aspirations of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 to improve the quality of life and protect the environment, and in line with With the “Green Saudi Arabia” and “Green Middle East” initiatives launched by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him – the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.

The memorandum of understanding focuses on achieving several goals, including protecting the environment in the Kingdom, spreading a culture of electronic waste recycling in society, and committing to the security and confidentiality of stored information by destroying data inside devices to be recycled once they are received.

The Chief Communications Officer at Zain Saudi Arabia, Mr. Rayan bin Abdullah Al-Turki, indicated that this agreement represents an actual translation of the company’s efforts to be a leader in sustainable institutional work that takes into account the requirements of a better and more quality life. . He said: “At Zain Saudi Arabia, we are committed to maintaining the safety and health of community members, based on our responsibility as a leading national company in implementing economic and social sustainability initiatives, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 for a more vibrant and sustainable society, and in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
